Esports Events

NAECAD is committed to providing quality professional development and member networking opportunities. Due to lingering COVID restrictions, NAECAD will not be offering any face to face clinics for the 2021 year, but has plans to offer virtual professional development events. With optimism, NAECAD intends to host face to face regional coaching and directing clinics throughout the United States and potentially Canada, as well as the NAECAD National Convention, beginning January 2022. We will be announcing the 2022 schedule as soon as details are finalized. Please continue to periodically check this page as ongoing updates will be posted here, as well as on our social media and Discord.

5th Annual NAECAD Coaches and Directors Clinic

The National Association of Esports Coaches and Directors (NAECAD) invites you to the 5 th Annual NAECAD
Coaches and Directors Clinic. This clinic will take place all day Friday, March 4, and the morning of Saturday,
March 5, 2021, at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa.

This clinic is specifically for Directors, Coaches, Athletic Directors, and other vital esports roles currently
involved with university and high school esports programs. The clinic will also provide valuable information for
schools that are exploring the idea of starting a competitive varsity esports program.
This two-day event will provide keynote sessions, panel discussions, and round table discussions presented by
leading coaches, directors, and administrators from university and high school esports programs from across
the country. This year, along with keynote sessions, there will be specific sessions for established esports
programs at both the high school and university level, and specific sessions for institutions just beginning a
competitive esports program, or looking to start an esports program both at the university and high school

Friday lunch is included as part of the conference and Friday evening there will be a dinner social event for
clinic participants and sponsors with drinks, hors-d'oeuvres, and food. This will give you quality time to
network, and learn from, individuals from established programs from around the country. There will also be a
Call of Duty fundraiser event hosted by the Variety Club of Iowa on Friday night that all clinic participants can
choose to participate in. There will also be amazing door prizes for those in attendance!

The clinic will also feature sponsor companies that provide products, resources, and services to help you start
or enhance the esports program on your campus.

The clinic will begin at 9:00 a.m. (C.S.T.) on Friday, March 4 and end on Saturday, March 5, at noon. Check-in
on Friday begins at 8:00 a.m. at the Grand View University Student Center. All sessions will be recorded and
clinic attendees will have access to every session on the NAECAD-PDP after the clinic is over.

There will also be a university esports tournament taking place on Saturday and Sunday, March 5-6.
Admission to the tournament is part of the clinic registration fee.
